REGISTRATION
Q1. Do I need to register if I am a SingHealth Staff?
Yes, the Conference fee is payable for interested delegates who wish to attend the S3 Conference 2019.
Q2. Do I need to register if I am a speaker?
All speakers (including co-speakers) must register for the Conference. Please note that registration fees will be forfeited in the event the speaker withdraws from the programme after the proposal has been accepted and registration has been made.
Q3. Do I need to register if I am an oral/poster presenter?
All accepted main authors (at least) must register as a Delegate for the Conference after the announcement of the results. Please note that registration fees will be forfeited in the event the oral/poster presenter withdraws after the abstract has been accepted and registration has been made.
Q4. (For SingHealth Staff Only) If my fund administrator has sent a confirmation on my registration for the Conference, do I still have to register online in the SingHealth Events Management Portal (EMP)?
No. The Secretariat will register on your behalf and send you a confirmation email for the Conference.
ABOUT FUNDING (For SingHealth Staff Only)
Q5. What happens after a Grant Call has ended?
Kindly check with your respective Fund Administrators on the next available Grant Call date. Alternatively, you may wish to tap on your Personal Training Fund, Department Fund, etc. Please check with your HR or department admin for more information.
- For SingHealth Residency Faculty & Medical PECT Faculty, please contact your respective ACPs.
- For Nursing and Allied Health PECT Faculty, please contact your institution EDOs.
Q6. What other funds can I tap on if I am not eligible for any Grant Calls?
You may wish to tap on your Personal Training Fund, Department Fund, etc. Please check with your HR or department admin for confirmation.
Q7. If I am eligible for more than two Faculty Development Funds, which fund should I tap on?
Below is the prioritisation on utilisation of Faculty Development Funds:
- Residency Faculty Development Funds
- PECT Faculty Development Funds
- External Funds (e.g. sponsorship)
- ACP/Institutional Funding (Internal Funds)
Q8. Am I eligible for funding for Pre-Conference Workshops?
Please refer to Q5 for the various Fund Administrators' contacts.
REGISTRATION PORTAL
Q9. I am unable to access the online registration form.
Kindly note the online registration form can only be accessed via an Internet-enabled device. The portal is best viewed with Chrome and Internet Explorer 11. If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, you are encouraged to adjust the compatibility view settings for optimal viewing.
Please follow the steps below to adjust the compatibility view settings:
- Go to "Tools"
- Click "Compatibility View settings"
- Uncheck "Display intranet sites in Compatibility View"

ABOUT PAYMENT
Q10. (For SingHealth Staff Only) How do I make payment via department funds?
As there are different work processes across the departments, please check with your department admin for more details.
Q11. Are there any discounts for bulk registration (more than 1 pax)?
There are no discounts for bulk registrations.
REGISTRATION CANCELLATION
Q12. What is the registration cancellation policy?
For cancellation requests, please notify the Secretariat in writing. Full registration fees will be charged for any cancellations received from 16 September 2019.
- For speakers, please note that registration fees will be forfeited if you withdraw from the programme after your proposal has been accepted and registration has been made.
- For oral/poster presenters, please note that registration fees will be forfeited in the event you withdraw after your abstract has been accepted and registration has been made.
REGISTRATION REPLACEMENT
Q13. What is the registration replacement policy?
For replacement requests, please notify the Secretariat in writing, no later than 15 October 2019. No replacement is allowed after 16 October 2019.
ACCOMMODATION
Q14. Where is the best place to stay?
Our designated S3 Conference hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, is a five-minute drive to the Conference venue at Academia (SGH Campus). Strategically situated along the iconic Singapore River, opposite the quaint Robertson Quay, and near historic Chinatown, other nearby attractions include the famous shopping enclave of Orchard Road and Gardens by the Bay. Within walking distance is also Tiong Bahru, a heritage estate offering unique old and new Singaporean experiences.
Hotel rates arranged for delegates are S$190.00++ per room night ("Deluxe/Single Occupancy") or S$210.00++ per room night ("Deluxe/Double Occupancy"), inclusive of breakfast and Wi-Fi. The Conference hotel also provides complimentary 2-way transfers to Academia, where the S3 Conference 2019 is held.
However, please note that on 23 October 2019, delegates staying in the hotel will enjoy transfers from Academia to the Welcome Reception venue and back to the hotel instead.
