Singapore General Hospital | Pelvic Floor Disorders are a common but often unrecognised surgical problem. Appropriate treatment of such functional problems can immensely improve the quality of life of afflicted patients so that they need not suffer in silence. With a growing interest in this area in the ASEAN region, many surgical units are in the process of setting up their own Pelvic Floor Service and developing related skills. The aim of this workshop is to introduce and teach the techniques of two common operations in dealing with pelvic floor disorders - namely: Laparoscopic Ventral Rectopexy (LVR) and Sacral Nerve Modulation (SNS). This workshop is strongly recommended for experienced colorectal surgeons and advanced surgical trainees with pelvic floor interest. Click

Singapore General Hospital | Vascularized Composite Allotransplantation (VCA) is a new reconstructive option for complex defects. In this workshop, participants will learn the design and harvest of the composite abdominal wall flap based on bilateral deep inferior epigastric vessels. They will also learn how to dissect the large and small bowel for transplantation. Demonstration of the technique will be performed on a single full body cadaver. This workshop is strongly recommended for surgical trainees with an interest in multivesceral transplantation (MVT) and plastic surgical trainees. Click
