Often times, simulation equipment is purchased without a thorough consultation process. As a direct result, technologies are either not used or not used to their greatest potential. The workshop will offer ideas and strategies for building and equipping a simulation program around curricular requirements. Leveraging such is beneficial when exploring purchases, life cycles, and how to get the greatest use of each technology.
Learning Objectives:
- Describe the advantages and disadvantages of building simulation curriculum around equipment/technologies
- Apply clinical education to envision, develop and implement realistic clinical and standardised patients programmes
- Understand and apply aspects of asset management as it applies to curricular needs
