Minimally invasive surgical techniques are an indispensable skill for surgeons. This workshop covers the basic principles of designing a course on elementary laparoscopic skills. It will also guide participants on how to properly apply various simulation training methods, such as the traditional box trainer, VR trainer and animal surgery, to conduct stepwise laparoscopic training, allowing learners to gain proficiency in laparoscopic skills before performing laparoscopic surgery on patients.
Learning Objectives:
-
Set appropriate learning outcomes for students at different levels;
-
Build reasonable stepwise laparoscopic training courses around learning outcomes;
-
Implement formative and summative assessment to ensure training quality.
