About the Speaker​

 

Ms Siti Nasriah Binti Yusri

Senior Staff Nurse/Clinical Instructor, Emergency Department

Sengkang General Hospital, Singapore

Ms Siti Nasriah is a Senior Staff Nurse trained in Emergency Nursing, and is passionate about nurturing and guiding new generation of healthcare professionals. She embarked her teaching journey in 2016 after receiving her qualification as a clinical instructor. Her teaching experience includes both classroom and clinical bedside teaching, using a mixture of pedagogy such as didactics, problem-based and simulation-based learning.

Some of the courses she has previously facilitated include the Triage Course for Emergency Nurses and Specialist Certification for Emergency and Trauma Nursing. She has conducted various types of emergency nursing-related simulation training, which range from MOH Patient Acuity Scale 3 scenarios to cardiac arrest situations, where nurses are trained to be able to work and perform critical thinking under stress. Siti also advocates for interprofessional simulation team training, so as to provide the most comprehensive and safe care for patients. 

Within SKH, Siti also serves as a BCLS and AED instructor, as well as co-facilitates scheduled in-services and courses by the Nursing Education Department. As a clinical instructor, she has always enjoyed guiding different and varied groups of people, such as new nursing graduates and those transitioning into the nursing profession.
