Dr Meykkumar is a Family Physician working at the SingHealth Polyclinic at Pasir Ris. He graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2010. He obtained his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2016, and earned his Masters in Family Medicine in 2017. He is an active member of the SingHealth Polyclinics Acute Care workgroup, and has served as the Emergency Champion for Pasir Ris Polyclinic since 2015.
Dr Meykkumar has a keen interest in teaching and has been teaching medical students from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Duke-NUS Medical School. He is currently a tutor for the Graduate Diploma and Master’s programme for Family Medicine.
Having received his training in Emergency Medicine for two years before embarking on his career in Family Medicine, Dr Meykkumar developed a strong interest in Acute Care. He strongly believes that failing to prepare is preparing to fail, and enjoys conducting mock drills to train healthcare staff for emergencies. He has also piloted interprofessional education for his clinic staff, in preparation for Code Blue events in the clinic.
