About the Speaker​

 

Dr Mehak RAJANI

Simulation Education Analyst, Centre for Innovation in Medical Education

The Aga Khan University (AKU), Pakistan

Dr Mehak Rajani graduated from the Dow Medical College with a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery, and is currently working as a Simulation Education Analyst at the Centre for Innovation in Medical Education, The Aga Khan University, Pakistan, a state-of-the-art and first-of-its-kind simulation centre in the region.

Dr Rajani works with the nursing, undergraduate and postgraduate medicine faculties to plan, develop and carry out simulation-based courses and workshops. In this capacity as Simulation Education Analyst, she also initiates new and innovative ideas to advance education, one of which includes the first ever bootcamp in Pakistan for newly-hired PGME residents and interns at AKUH. Her goal is to establish simulation-based-education at the core of medical education in AKUH, Pakistan, in order to groom healthcare professionals who are both well-equipped with sound medical knowledge and clinical skills to improve patient safety.
