Ms Anna Purani D/O Raman SINGARASOO

Ms Anna Purani D/O Raman Singarasoo is a Nurse Manager at SingHealth Polyclinics - Tampines. She has been involved in strengthening nursing practice through research since 2012. 

Anna has actively participated in various Quality Improvement projects that have helped to improve clinic processes and patient safety. After attending the Health Manpower Development Plan(HMDP) attachment at the Department of General Practice, University of Melbourne on Prevention and Management of Diabetes in the Community, Anna gained new perspectives and experiences, which allowed her to enhance the Diabetes management programme in SingHealth Polyclinics. She also assisted the Nursing Department in initiating the inaugural Motivational Interview programme at SingHealth Polyclinics, which oversees the training of nurses and Duke NUS medical students attached to SingHealth polyclinics. Since 2014, she has been serving as an ‘OPTIMAL’ Programme Coordinator, coordinating and guiding the ‘OPTIMAL’ case managers in continuing care for patients decant from hospitals to maintain active living. Anna also participates in reviewing Osteoporosis care and management in SingHealth Polyclinics. 

Anna is a member of the Nursing Practice Workgroup, where she reviews nursing practices, identifying areas for improvement and introducing ways to upskill practices. She also conducts quarterly cross-clinic Nursing Practice Audits.
