​Going Home After Discharge

Discharge Time and Procedures
Your attending doctor will inform you when you are fit to go home, and our ward staff will proceed with the necessary arrangements for you. 

Overstaying in hospital
Patients who request to extend their stay after being declared fit for discharge will no longer enjoy any form of subsidy and will be charged for the full cost of the extended stay. 

This will take effect from the 7th calendar day (inclusive of Sundays and public holidays) after the hospital has deemed you fit for discharge or referred you to a step-down care facility. 
 

Collecting Your Medication
Following your discharge, you may collect your medication at the hospital's pharmacy.

​By Mail

• Cheque should be crossed and made payable to"SingHealth Community Hospitals - SKCH" for Sengkang Community Hospital bills, and "Bright Vision Community Hospital" for Bright Vision Community Hospital bills.
• Please write the Case Number, Patient's name and NRIC No. on the reverse of your cheque and mail it to Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd, Bukit Merah Post Office, PO Box 540, Singapore 911532
  
• For Credit Card Mail Order, please fill in your credit card details on the credit card payment slip on your bill and mail it to Singapore Health Services Pte Ltd, Bukit Merah Post Office, PO Box 540, Singapore 911532

7-Eleven Stores /  Singapore Post Office Branches

• Cash or NETS payment can be made at any 7-Eleven Stores or Singapore Post Office branches located island wide.

Over-the-counter Payment

• Cash, credit cards, NETS, or cheque can be made at the Patient Services Centre (PSC) located at any SingHealth Community Hospitals: Bright Vision Community Hospital –  5 Lorong Napiri, Singapore 547530 or Sengkang Community Hospital – 1 Anchorvale Street, Singapore 544835
