Ms. Sophianne Araib is the Group Director of Horticulture and Community and the National Biodiversity Centre at the National Parks Board of Singapore. In her roles, Sophianne is responsible for facilitating and fostering active community stewardship of Singapore’s City in Nature vision through various community focused outreach and programmes on nature and wellbeing. She also oversees the formulation, coordination and implementation of biodiversity conservation policies and strategies. Prior to joining NParks, Sophianne was in various roles in the Ministry of National Development overseeing a wide-ranging policy portfolio that included Singapore’s land use/urban planning and development, construction and infrastructure development, greening, conservation as well as food security and animal welfare/management
