Director, Community Health and the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing, Canadian Red Cross

Sonia Hsiung directs the Canadian Institute for Social Prescribing (CISP), an intersectoral hub anchored by the Canadian Red Cross dedicated to bringing people, practices and research together towards integrating health and social care. With experience managing multi-sectoral projects in Canadian and international community-based organizations spanning from health care, food security, housing, women’s empowerment, to engineering, Sonia is keen to bring the strengths of diverse sectors together to build equitable, resilient and more connected communities. In her spare time, Sonia enjoys live music, visiting farmers’ markets and learning to garden.
