Dr Rachel Cheong Chin Yee

Dr Rachel Cheong is a Consultant in Geriatric Medicine at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She is also an adjunct faculty of Geriatric Education and Research Institute. She holds a Master of Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.  

Dr Cheong has directed programs such as the Integrated Frailty in Care Delivery Course and has been recognized with awards like the NHG Research Impact Award and NHG Teaching Excellence Awards.  

Her research interests include frailty, intrinsic capacity, sarcopenia and early diagnosis of cognitive decline. Her work has been published on various peer-review journals. She furthered her fellowship at Imperial College London, focusing on early diagnostic techniques for cognitive impairments. Additionally, she champions geriatric patient flow in acute care settings to reduce complications for frail older adults by pioneering the Geriatric Short Stay Unit at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
