Flora is a Clinical Counsellor at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital who is passionate about adopting a holistic approach to empower patients and their caregivers towards their mental well-being. She holds a Master of Counselling and has worked with children and adolescents with different mental health presentations for more than 10 years across various settings.

Flora became a part of the RECAP (Resilience for Children and Adolescents with Psychosomatic disorders) initiative, providing intensive and structured CBT-informed intervention for children and adolescents with psychosomatic presentations. She is also actively involved in the research domain, and continually collects and analyses data to evaluate efficacy of treatment designs and expand the knowledge pool of psychosomatic presentations. Though not involved in providing RECAP Lite, Flora remains actively involved in the research and training domain, and empowers other mental health providers like school counsellors and community counsellors to support young persons with psychosomatic symptoms.

She will be sharing more about psychosomatic symptoms and the RECAPLite intervention program for children and adolescents with milder psychosomatic presentations.
