Asst Prof Suzanne Goh
Associate Dean, Student Affairs, Duke-NUS Medical School

Dr. Suzanne Goh is the Associate Dean of the Medical Curriculum at Duke-NUS Medical School, where she has been an integral part of the faculty since the school's early days in 2007, steadily growing from an initial role as a Team-Based Learning facilitator to her current leadership position. With over 20 years of experience in Pediatric Medicine and a Master of Education in the Health Professions from Johns Hopkins University, Dr. Goh has been instrumental in shaping the curriculum, particularly in integrating clinical reasoning and facilitating professional identity formation. Her approach to medical education is deeply influenced by her experiences as clinician, educator and a parent, emphasizing the interconnection of clinical skills, ethics, and student well-being. Maintaining a part-time clinical practice in pediatric endocrinology, Dr. Goh bridges theory with practical application. Her personal journey, particularly in navigating the challenges of raising a child with autism, has profoundly shaped her educational philosophy and led her to co-found a non-profit organization supporting families touched by autism. Dr. Goh's multifaceted approach to medical education, combining rigorous academic standards with empathy and real-world understanding, aims to shape Duke-NUS students into compassionate clinicians who are prepared to go above and beyond for their patients.
