Dr Chiam is a Palliative Medicine consultant in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She has an interest in providing holistic care for patients with chronic lung conditions and is involved in education work, development of programmes and research impacting patients with chronic breathlessness. 

Dr Chiam is also part of the workgroup of Air Master service, which is a joint collaboration between different specialties from Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Lien Foundation to build capabilities of community Day Rehabilitation Centres to provide cardiopulmonary rehabilitation to patients with Chronic Lung Disease and Heart Failure.
