About Breast Cancer

The breast consists of fatty tissue and milk producing glands. If cancer cells spread, they may travel along lymphatic vessels and collect at the axillary lymph nodes.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer among women in Singapore today. One out of every 14 women* in Singapore will be diagnosed with breast cancer. Every year, more than 1,900 new breast cancers are diagnosed in Singapore.
