Simple Mastectomy

  • The entire breast, including the nipple-areola complex is removed. After surgery, a neat and flat chest wound is expected.
  • A soft tubing known as a drain is placed during surgery with the accompanying bottle to remove blood and fluid accumulated at the operated site. The drain is removed when the drainage is less than 30ml/24h after 1 - 2 weeks. You will be taught how to care for the drain.
  • You can go home the next day.
