​Group Finance

Group Finance seeks to provide:  

​Sound Financial Management
​Ensure financial sustainability through right pricing, securing of the right funding for activities, development of new revenue streams, and the delivery of timely and quality information and analysis.

​Define and continuously review financial policies and procedures for compliance with accounting standards and safeguard of interests across the cluster, enhance productivity and maximise asset utilisation.

Finance Shared Services

The Finance Share Services aims to be the centre of excellence in handling value-adding services in Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets Accounting and Payroll functions.  This allows for the economies of scale through uniform transactions processing across the cluster.

​Our Communications officers play the crucial role of Activist, Facilitator, Catalyst and Reputation Builder in SingHealth. Through strategic functions such as media relations, internal communications, leadership communications and employee engagement, our communication teams drive positive organisational culture, facilitate crucial conversations among internal and external stakeholders, build organisational reputation and act as bridges that reach out to our patients and the public.

​Joint Office of Research

The Office is a central resource dedicated to coordinating, supporting and developing research activities within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. It includes research administration offices that oversee the operation and development of research projects, resources to nurture and groom researchers, as well as facilities and services that enable research.

 

SingHealth Office of Research (OoR)

SingHealth OoR supports the research community to conduct bench-to-bedside research that benefits patients. From managing grant applications and intellectual property to supporting multidisciplinary collaborations, OoR’s key functions are:

​Grant Administration
Manages the pre-and post-awards of SingHealth Foundation grants, as well as tracks, consolidates and analyses SingHealth research KPI and output.
​Research Finance ​Manages budget and financial matters for research cost centres in SingHealth.
​Research Operations​Manages research space in the Academia, including laboratory and office spaces as well as the daily operations of shared research facilities and services.
​Research Collaborations & Special Projects​Supports and manages research projects between SingHealth and external collaborators, including the formation and full execution of new collaborations.
Strategy Management​Manages research governance matters, supports risk management and supports annual workplans.
​Research Service Development​Promotes Core Platforms and other research services to internal and external users and assists in the developing of business plans, implanting new Core Platforms as well as harmonising services and pricing.
Intellectual Property Management​Oversees the protection and commercialisation of intellectual property assets that belong to SingHealth and work with external partners to out-license SingHealth’s technologies.
Stakeholder Engagement
​Supports the implementation of research initiatives and strategies through the development and implementation of internal and external communication plans.

​The Office of SingHealth Academy (O-SHA) provides education services and corporate support to all SingHealth Colleges and Institutes to enhance teaching and learning. O-SHA has a wide range of resources that support the educational needs of our educators and learners in achieving clinical education excellence:

Corporate Planning and Services

Corporate Services and Administration Team​The team provides strategic planning and operational oversights for the Education domain by managing the finance, manpower capacity and projections as well as education funding and scholarship. The team also oversees the enterprise risk management of SingHealth Academy to ensure compliance with international standards as well as mitigation of potential risk in its daily operations. 
​Education Communications Team​The team provides strategic communications support to education stakeholders in the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre. The team works closely with key education stakeholders to communicate education offerings and services effectively through the various communication platforms aligned to the Academy’s’ vision.
​Collaborations and Partnership Team​The team reaches out to education partners in healthcare beyond SingHealth, to cultivate goodwill and foster development of education collaborations in SingHealth and the region.

 

Academic/ Education Support

​Academia Facilities Management Team
​The team oversees the administration of education facilities in Academia. These include a suite of specialised training facilities and other purpose-built venues such as tutorial and training rooms. The team works with organisers to configure these facilities to the different training needs, enhancing the teaching and learning environment for educators and learners.
​Academic Resources & Research Team​The team works with researchers, authors, editors and content partners to support scholarly communication and health professions education research in SingHealth. The team provides services in health professions education research, manages the SingHealth cluster eLibrary, develops and delivers training in scholarly communication topics, as well as manages and publishes healthcare-related educational titles (including acting as the Secretariat for the SingHealth medical journal, Proceedings of Singapore Healthcare).
​Audio Visual Technology Team​The team manages the AV systems in the education facilities to ensure its functionality and readiness for events. It provides timely support and assistance to event organisers for their needs, such as support for real-time video streaming from Academia to other external sites and the recording of lectures at various SingHealth institutions through the media-site portal. 
​Learning Development Team

​The team consists of a strong team of digital media specialists that specialises in designing and developing learning contents to enhance teaching and learning. The team works closely with educators to conduct design analysis based on their learning objectives to improve learning outcomes.

  - Content development (e.g. eLearning, digital media and illustrations)

Learning Innovation & Technology Team

​The team actively supports technology infrastructure related to clinical education through the use of the latest educational teaching and learning tools. The team works closely with faculty and administrators to produce videos relevant to medical education and provide effective learning solutions to innovate teaching and learning experiences.

Areas of specialty:
  - Video production
  - 2D/3D animation and visual effect
  - Innovation Technology (e.g. eLearning, eLecture solution)

Workshop & Conference Management Team

​Partnering hospitals, institutions and clinical departments, the team develops and organises workshops and large-scale events such as scientific congresses and medical conferences. These workshops and events are carefully designed and customised to improve learning outcomes, catering to the needs of the various healthcare professions.
