Visiting a Patient

Visiting Hours and Policy


WEF Thursday, 19 Aug 2021, please note the updates on our Visitors Policy to the wards.


Following Ministry of Health (MOH) guidelines, hospitals are to implement COVID-19 vaccination-differentiated rules for visitors to wards from 19 Aug 2021.

For Fully or Partially Vaccinated Visitors
Show your vaccination status at our Registration Counters. Once we have your vaccination record, you do not need to register at counters every day.

For Unvaccinated Visitors
Show your negative COVID-19 test result taken in the last 24 hours during registration at our Registration Counters. Please refer to www.go.gov.sg/swabproviders for MOH-approved providers. Contact the clinic directly to make an appointment.


Health Risk Warning (HRW) or Health Risk Advisory (HRA):

Sengkang Community Hospital
Please note that Visitors or caregivers issued with a Health Risk Warning (HRW) or Health Risk Advisory (HRA) SMS from the Ministry of Health (MOH) will not be allowed into the wards.

All visitors are required to fill up an online declaration form and perform SafeEntry before proceeding to the wards.

Outram Community Hospital

Please note that Visitors or caregivers issued with a Health Risk Warning (HRW) or Health Risk Advisory (HRA) SMS from the Ministry of Health (MOH) will not be allowed into the wards.

All visitors are required to fill up declaration form and perform SafeEntry before proceeding to the wards.


1. Visiting Hours:
Sengkang Community Hospital

  • 12.00pm to 2.00pm

  • 5.00pm to 8.30pm

Outram Community Hospital

  • 12.00pm to 2.00pm

  • 5.00pm to 8.30pm


2. Revised Visitation Policy:

For Sengkang Community Hospital
Maximum of 1 (one) visitor per patient are allowed in the wards at any one time, for 30 minutes, per day. Maximum of 2 (two) visitors in the designated visitors list. Each patient can receive up to two visits per day.


For Outram Community Hospital

Maximum of 1 (one) visitor per patient are allowed in the wards at any one time, for 30 minutes, per day. Maximum of 2 (two) visitors in the designated visitors list. Each patient can receive up to two visits per day

3. ART for Caregivers:
Caregivers permitted to visit more than 30 minutes must undergo Antigen Rapid Test (ART) or show negative PCR / ART result in the last 24 hours.


ART Centre for SKCH

  • Please approach our staff at the Visitor Registration Counters to get a form before going for the test.
  • Our ART Swab Station is located opposite Polar Puff & Cakes in SKH, open daily from 10am to 7.30pm. ART results are only valid for day of visit.


ART Centre for OCH

  • Please proceed to our ART Centre at SGH Bowyer Blk between 8am - 6pm (5.30pm last registration) to perform the test.


Caregivers must test negative before they are allowed entry, and the results will only be valid for the day of their visit.

We understand that these measures may cause some inconvenience. For our patients' and your safety, please bear with these stricter measures to reduce unnecessary visitor movement in the hospital. Thank you for your patience.


While visiting the wards, we seek your co-operation for the following to reduce the risk of infection and keep our patients safe:

For patients' confidentiality, please also note that photography and videography of patients and their families are not allowed.
