Medical Social Services
Our team of Medical Social Workers (MSWs) work in collaboration with the doctors, nurses, and therapists to provide the necessary and comprehensive care from the patient-centered perspective.
They attend to the emotional, psychological, social and care needs of our patients in order to cope effectively with the challenges arising from various medical conditions. Whereas our Social Work Assistants provide the required support to MSWs and the treatment team in delivering holistic psychosocial care to our patients.
- Providing information, liaising and referral to community social services
- Financial and practical assistance
- Care and discharge planning
- Counselling and psychotherapy sessions
- Caregiver support and psychoeducation programmes
- Conducting support groups for patients and their caregivers
