SCH and the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) collaborated on the ‘Fashion for Dementia’ initiative, a project that marries healthcare insight with fashion innovation to address the unique dressing needs of people living with dementia.
Ms Lo Chen Ju, Head, Occupational Therapy, SCH, shared on the collaboration process, the dressing challenges faced by individuals with dementia and how the designs created by the NAFA students have demonstrated the potential of dementia-friendly clothing solutions. Dr Bryan Han Weiyao, Director of the Dementia & Cognitive Care Service, SCH, shared that it is open to more of such meaningful partnerships that align with SCH’s mission to enhance patient care and community wellbeing.
