Sam has been a GP in Tower Hamlets since 1989 in the Bromley by Bow Centre. The Centre is well-visited by many in Singapore who wish to learn more about health and social integration and social prescribing, and has over 100 projects under its roof supporting the wider determinants of health.

As a Technical Officer in the Healthy Ageing unit at WHO WPRO, April supports Member States in achieving the vision of healthy ageing. This includes providing technical assistance for the development of national policies and plans, as well as generating evidence to inform interventions. April also facilitates capacity building and knowledge exchange among Member States and has contributed to the development of key WHO knowledge products, including the Social Prescribing toolkit and the OpenWHO course. In addition, April serves as the innovation focal point for the Division of Healthy Environments and Populations at WHO WPRO.
April holds a Master of Public Health (Social and Behavioural Health Sciences) from the University of Toronto, with public health research experience in Canada, China, Malawi, Kenya, and the Philippines.

Ms Milawaty Nurjono Manager, Healthcare Intelligence, Health Services Research, Changi General Hospital Associate Research Scientist, Centre for Population Health Research and Implementation (CPHRI)

Ms Milawaty Nurjono is a health services researcher with vast experience in population and community-based programmes evaluation. Mila received her Master in Public Health from Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and was a recipient of the National Medical Research Council Research Fellowship, Singapore. At SingHealth cluster level, Mila offers programme evaluation training, consultation and leads a group of analysts in supporting programme evaluation.
Synopsis: With scarcity in resources, there is a growing need to evaluate healthcare programmes to facilitate improvement, optimize resources and make policy decisions. In this 2-day workshop, (i) rationale for evaluation, (ii) evaluation approaches, (iii) “know how” of conducting evaluation, data collection and analysis, (iv) dissemination of evaluation findings for decision making in population health settings will be discussed. Participants can expect to learn through lectures, discussions, and group work throughout this workshop.
