Parents often worry about their child’s development, and whether they are “doing the right thing” to manage their child’s health. Our friendly SingHealth Community Nurses are stationed conveniently in Our Tampines Hub to address parents’ queries and concerns.
What can Community Nurses do for you?
Commmunity Nurses provide the following services for families and children:
Children's Health
- Growth, development and nutrition support
- Oral health screening and education
- Nurse counselling on common childhood illnesses, allergies, hygiene and child safety
- Health coaching and lifestyle counselling
Women's Health
- Family planning and preconception health support
- Support for common health conditions and chronic diseases during pregnancy
- Postnatal physical recovery and mental wellness screening
- Breastfeeding and lactation support
- Health coaching and lifestyle counselling
If required, Community Nurses will refer you to see a doctor or link you to other community care providers, so that you can get the most appropriate care.
These services are currently fully subsidised and will be provided at no cost if you are found suitable.
Who is suitable for these nursing services?
Our services are designed for:
- Women aged 21 years old and above; and/or
- Children aged 0 to 6 years old; and
- Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents; and
- Residents of Pasir Ris, Tampines, Simei, Bedok, Kembangan, Kampong Ubi or Geylang East
If you do not meet all of the above criteria but may benefit from our services, we may enrol you on a case-by-case basis (based on the assessment by the Community Nurse).
