Programme Planning & Evaluation Essentials Workshop

To optimise the use of healthcare and other resources, there is a pressing need for healthcare professionals to be equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to plan, develop, implement and evaluate population health programmes appropriately.

A systematic programme planning process followed by evaluation allows determination of the strength and area for improvement of these programmes through empirical evidence.

This workshop will briefly cover the various stages of programme planning, implementation and evaluation process applicable to the context of Regional Health System programmes.

Suitable for: Anyone in the healthcare sector who wishes to develop, implement and evaluate population health programmes

This workshop can be accessed via the SingHealth e-learning portal (for SingHealth staff only).

Realist Evaluation Workshop

With growing complexity of healthcare interventions characterised by multiple components, stakeholders and implementation settings, interventions are increasingly becoming context dependent. However, traditional evaluation approaches, which focus solely on effectiveness, provides limited context-specific insights which are essential for implementation, replication and scaling-up.

Realist Evaluation (RE), a theory driven approach is increasingly applied in the evaluation of complex healthcare interventions. It seeks to overcome the limitations of traditional evaluation by establishing an in-depth understanding of possible mechanisms and contextual factors which drive intervention outcomes.

Suitable for: Healthcare professionals who have experience running and evaluating population health programmes and are keen to learn the "know-how" of applying RE in real world settings

This workshop can be accessed via the SingHealth e-learning portal (for SingHealth staff only).
