Welcome to the 1st Asia Pacific Population Health Conference, taking place on the 28th and 29th November 2024 at the Academia building, Singapore. This conference is a signature academic event of the SingHealth Regional Health System. In collaboration with Singapore University of Technology and Design and Singapore University of Social Sciences, this inaugural event will showcase the latest research advances and bring together thought leaders, healthcare and social service professionals, community partners, academics, researchers, and policymakers from the region to learn and showcase endeavours aimed at improving population health.
Our conference marks a significant milestone in the realm of population health, drawing inspiration from the successes of the past and propelling us into a future of innovation, collaboration, and transformative changes. In our pursuit of advancing population health, we draw inspiration from Singapore's commitment to scaling up a nationwide effort toward preventive health and building a sustainable healthcare ecosystem. Through the pillars of research and innovation, discoveries are translated into tangible outcomes that positively impact population health and society.
Under the overarching theme "City for All Ages: Emerging Paradigms", we are delighted to present an engaging two-day programme that promises abundant opportunities for learning and interaction. Join hands with like-minded academics, researchers, clinicians, policymakers, and healthcare and social care professionals, as we delve into a spectrum of topics, ranging from built environment and health, mental health and wellbeing, technologies and innovations, as well as integrated care across communities and families.

The SingHealth Regional Health System (RHS) recognises that our population can be empowered to keep well, get well and live well in their communities and homes.

As an academic RHS, we also leverage population health research and implementation science to understand healthcare utilisation patterns and to facilitate appropriate interventions across the care continuum.

With an ageing population and increased focus on population health, there is a growing need to deliver good healthcare outcomes in a sustainable manner as well as to improve population health at both the system and individual levels. With this impetus, population health and implementation science has emerged as a key strategic research theme within the SingHealth Duke–NUS Academic Medical Centre (AMC).
The SingHealth Centre for Population health Research and Implementation (CPHRI) was established in April 2022 to serve as the nexus for population health research, innovation, implementation science and evaluation in the AMC. CPHRI aims to develop thought leadership in population health research across the life stages, accelerate the translation of research findings to care delivery, and improve and scale services though evidence-based programme development.
