Prof Alexandre Chan

Professor Alexandre Chan is the Director of the Department of Cancer Survivorship and Wellness at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. He is also a Professor of Clinical Pharmacy at the University of California, Irvine School of Pharmacy & Pharmaceutical Sciences and an Adjunct Faculty at Duke-NUS Medical School.

A board-certified specialist in pharmacotherapy and oncology pharmacy, Prof. Chan is an internationally recognised expert in cancer supportive care, survivorship and integrative oncology. He has published more than 350 peer-reviewed manuscripts (h-index 56), and his research programme has attracted over USD 10 million in competitive funding from governmental agencies (NIH, NMRC), foundations and industry. His work evaluates the mechanisms and biomarkers underlying cancer treatment toxicities, their impact on quality of life, pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions, and health services models that optimize the survivorship experience.

Prof. Chan currently serves as President of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer (MASCC) and previously served as President of the International Society of Oncology Pharmacy Practitioners (ISOPP). He is an elected Fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (FCCP), ISOPP (FISOPP) and MASCC (FMASCC).
