When healthcare leaders, philanthropists and friends gathered on 26 July for the SingHealth Duke-NUS Gala Dinner 2025, the result was nothing short of extraordinary. The event raised over $1 million for Academic Medicine while celebrating two significant anniversaries: SingHealth's 25 years of innovation and Duke-NUS Medical School's two decades of excellence. 

The year’s Gala also marked 20 years of the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre partnership. These two institutions came together to unite clinical excellence, medical research, education and innovation. The result is healthcare that transforms lives today and beyond.

The evening’s most inspiring moment was the announcement of Wee Foundation's second transformational gift of $5.7 million. Following their pioneering $5 million donation in 2022 to establish the Wee Foundation Nursing Academic Fund, this latest contribution demonstrates their unwavering commitment to nursing excellence. These funds will empower our nurses, allowing them to pursue education and development opportunities that will enable them to practise at the highest levels and elevate patient care.

The night revealed another dimension of our healthcare community’s talents. Guests were treated to performances by our talented staff members: Dr Lucy Davies from KK Women's and Children's Hospital, Dr Ke Yuhe from Singapore General Hospital, Dr Steph Yeap from SingHealth Otolaryngology, and Ms Tallin Ang from the SingHealth Group Office of Patient Experience. They were accompanied by the award-winning wind percussion ensemble Reverberance, creating an atmosphere that perfectly balanced celebration with purpose.
