Dr Tay Kaijun

Dr Tay Kaijun is a Consultant Otorhinolaryngologist (ENT Surgeon) at Singapore General Hospital and a Clinical Assistant Professor with the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. He subspecialises in complex rhinology and advanced anterior skull base surgery. His clinical practice focuses on the definitive medical and surgical management of recalcitrant sinus disease, skull base pathology, and sinonasal tumours. He regularly performs advanced procedures including Frontal Drill Outs (FDO), sphenoid drill-outs, and extended endoscopic approaches.

Dr Tay completed his residency with SingHealth, where he graduated at the top of his cohort nationally and was awarded the College of Surgeons Gold Medal. Thereafter, he pursued a high-volume, advanced Rhinology and Skull Base Fellowship in Adelaide, Australia, operating under the mentorship of Professor PJ Wormald and Professor Alkis Psaltis.

Alongside his clinical practice, Dr Tay maintains a strong commitment to medical education and research. He actively participates in clinical research and innovation, with a specific focus on sinonasal anatomical studies and surgical outcomes to develop novel treatment strategies. He is also actively engaged in mentoring the next generation of physicians and surgeons.

In his clinical practice, Dr Tay is committed to a holistic approach to patient care. He prioritizes comprehensive management strategies that address not only the immediate anatomical pathology but also the patient’s long-term functional recovery and overall quality of life.
