A/Prof Lee obtained his medical degree at the National University of Singapore in 1987.  He holds the Master of Medicine Degree in Family Medicine (1993), Diploma in Practical Dermatology (UK) and the Fellow of the College of Family Physicians Singapore (2000).  A/Prof Lee served continuously as a Council Member of the College of Family Physicians since 1993 and was the Censor-in-Chief (Chief Examiner) of the College of Family Physicians Singapore from 2005 to 2009. He is presently the Vice-President of the College.  He serves in various national level committees that promote training and professionalism in Singapore.  He is an examiner in the Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) Exams and the Chief Examiner of the Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine.

 

His area of interest is in health assessment, physician training, complexity science and health services research.  He is the Clerkship Director of the Family Medicine Clerkship and the College Master of the Sir Gordon Arthur Ransome Student Advisory College of the school.  A/Prof Lee is active in promoting research and holds the appointment of Principal Investigator in the Family Medicine Research Network of the Singapore Clinical Research Institute.

 

Before returning to the public sector in 2006, A/Prof Lee worked for 10 years as a clinician leader in a private group practice. Presently, he is a Senior Consultant of the Department of Family Medicine and Continuing Care in the Singapore General Hospital and Deputy CEO (Education and Community Partnerships) for SingHealth Community Hospitals. His clinical duties include providing care to hospitalized patients and patients at the specialist outpatient clinic of our hospital.
