Profile
Dr Kao Nern Hoong is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Surgery at Changi General Hospital (CGH). He completed his medical undergraduate training in the United Kingdom in 2007 and has been practising in Singapore since 2008. He continued his post graduate training in general surgery at Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and CGH and completed his FRCSEd examinations in 2017. His main interest remains in the oncological treatment of head and neck cancers as well as benign conditions involving the thyroid gland and parathyroid.
Apart from his clinical work, he is involved in medical education and has been appointed as a clinical tutor of both medical schools in Singapore. He is also the physician faculty member of the postgraduate General Surgery Residency Programme.
