Profile

Dr Kam Juinn Huar, a Head & Senior Consultant at the Department of General Surgery, Sengkang General Hospital. He is also a senior consultant with the Department of Hepatopancreatobiliary (HPB) and Transplant Surgery, Singapore General Hospital.

Dr Kam graduated with MBBS from University of Karachi in 1999.  He first started his medical service in Malaysia before moving to Singapore to further his career in 2008.  He obtained his MRCS (Edin) in 2007, MMed (Surgery) in 2013 and FRCS(Edin) in General Surgery in 2014.  He is also a fully registered medical practitioner in Malaysia.   

He received his specialist training in the Department of General Surgery, SGH and subsequently joined the Department of HPB and Transplant Surgery in 2014. He underwent subspecialty fellowship training in Nagoya Japan in the field of HPB.

In addition, in November 2016, he also joined Department of General Surgery, Sengkang General Hospital , as the lead in HPB service.  Besides, he is also the Director of Trauma Service, Leads for Acute Care Service and Simulation Exercise for Department of General Surgery, SengKang.  He also holds the role as Clinical Representative for Lap Cholecystectomy for Development of Value Driven Outcome (VDO), Sengkang.

His main interest is in complex biliary surgery.
