He had previously worked as a surgical fellow for 2 years at the world-renowned Mayo Clinic Rochester performing numerous complex surgical procedures. He is presently well-recognized internationally for his clinical and research work in the field. Dr Goh has received numerous awards and has been an invited member of several international expert consensus panels.
He is presently one of the highest-volume surgeons in Southeast-Asia for laparoscopic HPB/transplant surgery having performed over 500 major minimally-invasive HPB surgeries to date including over 100 robotic HPB surgeries as the main console surgeon. He is widely-recognized regionally as a pioneer and key opinion leader in the field and is frequently invited to lecture and proctor local/regional surgeons. He is only one of a handful of surgeons regionally who routinely performs laparoscopic/robotic surgery for major hepatectomies, pancreatectomies (Whipples procedure) and resections for bile duct/ gallbladder cancers with a high-success rate.
Dr Goh frequently uses transplant oncology techniques to perform complex multi-organ resections with major vascular reconstructions for borderline-resectable cancers which may be considered inoperable by other surgeons.
