Clinical Asst Professor
Dr Evelyn Wong Yi Ting is a Consultant Medical Oncologist at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), specialising in lower gastrointestinal cancers, upper gastrointestinal cancers, and hepatobiliary cancers. Her clinical interests include early-onset colorectal cancer and digital oncology. She is the founder of AYABytes, a mobile app co-created with patients and physicians to support adolescents and young adults (AYA) with cancer. AYABytes was launched by NCCS in 2023 to provide age-appropriate, personalised cancer information and support for AYA patients.
Dr Wong obtained her Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (Edinburgh) and Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the National University of Singapore, and completed her specialist training at the National Cancer Centre Singapore. In 2025, she completed a fellowship in Gastrointestinal Oncology at University College London Hospitals (UCLH). During her fellowship, she gained advanced subspecialty experience in the management of complex gastrointestinal malignancies and was actively involved in gastrointestinal oncology clinical trials, including NEOPRISM-CRC and ABC-10. She led the development of a dedicated service for patients with Early-Onset Gastrointestinal Cancers in UCLH. She remains an Honorary Consultant with UCLH Gastrointestinal Oncology. Dr Wong is also a member of several professional organisations, including the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).
Her work focuses on improving cancer care delivery through value-based oncology and digital innovation. She previously served as Institutional Lead for Value-Driven Care at NCCS under the Office of Population Health from 2025 to 2026. Dr Wong is also interested in global oncology, with a focus on reducing disparities in cancer care. She has been involved in community and global health work across India, Nepal, China, and Thailand, and was a founding member and Director of Seeds of Nations Pte Ltd from 2013 to 2017. She also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Global Health Institute, contributing to education and global health initiatives in Oncology.
In addition to her clinical and research work, Dr Wong is actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, teaching senior residents, medical officers, and medical and nursing students. She has received recognition for her contributions to medical education, including the SingHealth Residency Inspiring Resident Educator Award in 2020 and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Medical Society Outstanding Tutor Award in 2018.
