Profile

 

Dr Devendra is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and lead clinician for the delivery suite at the Singapore General Hospital. He was educated at the Penang Free School in Malaysia before pursuing pre-university studies in Singapore as an ASEAN scholar. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1992. Before training as an obstetrician and gynaecologist, Dr Devendra worked in orthopaedic surgery, neonatology, colorectal surgery, general surgery and emergency medicine. As part of his postgraduate training, he spent 2 years working in the United Kingdom, including one year at the St George’s Hospital Medical School in London where he was Senior Registrar and Honorary Clinical Lecturer. He has a clinical interest in the management of high risk pregnancies and the care of women in labour.
