Profile

Dr Celeste Ann Chua graduated from the National University of Singapore, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2002. She had initially pursued a degree in Family Medicine and was awarded a Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2008.  However, during this time, she found a particularly strong clinical interest in ENT conditions and subsequently decided to dedicate herself to further professional development in Otolaryngology. As such, 10 years after graduation, she returned to specialist training and was selected for the Singhealth Residency programme for Otorhinolaryngology in 2013.  She completed her membership examination under the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS ENT) in 2014, and obtained a Master of Medicine (ENT) from the National University of Singapore in 2015. In 2018, she became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine of Singapore after acquiring Specialist Accreditation in Singapore.

Her sub-speciality interest is in Otology where she manages hearing disorders, dizziness and balance problems caused by middle/inner ear disorders, as well as chronic and acute ear conditions. She also treats general ENT conditions such as sinusitis and thyroid masses.

Dr Celeste Ann Chua is a strong advocate for medical education and training. She was a member of the Organising Committee for the 3rd  Singhealth Duke – NUS Education Conference.   This is a biennial landmark event in healthcare education bringing together thought leaders and interprofessional educators from SingHealth, Duke-NUS as well as external healthcare and academic institutions to learn and exchange best practices in teaching.   As part of the Organising Committee,  she helmed a symposium on “Preparing Residents Today for Tomorrow’s Challenges” and remains committed to medical education.
