Pre-conference Workshop

This immersive cadaver workshop offers a unique opportunity to explore and master advanced techniques in intestinal and abdominal surgery, with a focus on transplantation.

This workshop will feature:

  • Intestinal Anatomy for Transplantation: A detailed exploration of small intestine anatomy, essential for intestinal transplant procedures.
  • Vascular Graft Procurement: Demonstration of autologous vascular graft procurement techniques, including the radial artery, lateral femoral circumflex artery, which are critical for liver and intestinal transplantation reconstruction
  • Fascia Lata Graft Techniques: Discussion and hands-on practice of fascia lata graft procurement, particularly for pediatric patients requiring increased abdominal domain due to extensive surgeries from birth

The experience and insight gained from this workshop will be transferrable to a broad range of intestinal abdominal surgery.
