Research (RDMM)

Seed Fund Grant: April 2022

The Singhealth Duke-NUS Seed Fund aims to support investigators within the Singapore Rare Disease Models and Mechanisms (RDMM) Network in the fields of Cancer, Adult and Paediatric genetics. SingHealth Duke-NUS Genomic Medicine Centre (SDGMC) will fund three pilot projects on variant functionalization for one year with a $50K budget for each project.

The following were the application guidelines:

  1. A collaboration between a Clinician and a Basic Research Scientist is required. Both need to be members of RDMM network and with a current appointment >75% at a Singapore Institution.
  2. Types of research supported: Functionalization of genetic variants involved in Cancer, Adult and Paediatric Genetic Diseases.
  3. Potential from the data generated in the pilot to support a national grant proposal will be favourably considered.

The SD GMC is pleased to announce the three pilot projects that have been awarded the Seed Fund Grant.
