This is a new class of blood pressure lowering drugs. They act by blocking the action of a substance called angiotensin II at the blood vessel walls and thereby prevent the narrowing of blood vessels.
If you miss a dose, take the missed dose as soon as you remember.
If it is almost time for your next dose, take only the usual dose. Do
not double the dosage.
If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, you should inform your
doctor. It should not be taken together with high doses of diuretics as
this may give rise to low blood pressure.
The side effects of Angiotensin II Receptor Blockers are rare and include dizziness and lightheadedness on
getting up.
