Established in 2010, the SingHealth Duke-NUS Transplant Centre (SDTC) stands as SingHealth’s premier transplant hub and a regional centre of excellence in transplantation. Anchored within the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre, SDTC was conceived to build strong foundations and synergies across clinical care, research, and education, and has since evolved into one of the largest and most experienced transplant practices in the region.
Today, SDTC comprises twelve established transplant programmes, including kidney, pancreas-kidney, liver, heart, lung, cornea, ovarian tissue, adult and paediatric blood stem cell transplantation, umbilical cord blood transplantation, as well as a dedicated transplant tissue centre for skin and cardiovascular homograft’s. Together, these programmes deliver comprehensive, coordinated, and high-quality care to patients and donors across the SingHealth cluster.
With more than 13,000 transplants performed to date, SDTC has brought renewed life and hope to countless patients and families. Our multidisciplinary teams are deeply committed to clinical excellence, patient safety, and ethical stewardship, supported by robust donor screening and management frameworks that uphold the highest standards of care.
As a pivotal bridge for collaboration and synergy, SDTC advances transplantation through five strategic domains:
Over the years, SDTC has experienced steady growth and expansion in clinical services, research capabilities, and educational endeavours. Looking ahead, the Centre aspires to shape the future of transplantation by advancing innovation, strengthening regional partnerships, and establishing itself as a Regional Academic and Clinical Centre of Excellence in Transplantation.
Guided by a clear mission and a shared commitment to excellence, the SingHealth Duke-NUS Transplant Centre continues to define tomorrow’s medicine—transforming lives through collaboration, compassion, and cutting edge transplant care.
