SingHealth Polyclinics (SHP) marks its 25^th anniversary in 2025, a milestone that represents more than just a number—it is a testament of a quarter-century of dedicated healthcare service in Singapore. This silver jubilee year has been filled with meaningful initiatives that celebrate not only our history but also our commitment to quality care, sustainability and those who have contributed to our shared story.

More Than Just a Milestone

SHP’s 25^th anniversary logo that symbolises compassion, unity and commitment to primary care

We created a special logo to mark all our anniversary celebrations – one that carries deep significance and represents far more than just a milestone.

The anniversary logo, which was thoughtfully designed to encapsulate our journey and values, reflects our unwavering compassion and commitment to the community over the past 25 years. Different shades of orange radiate warmth, empowerment, and the deep dedication that drives our care. The flowing ribbon shaping "25" embodies continuity, unity and the lasting bonds we have nurtured with those we serve.

Encased within a heart, it signifies our promise to the community — where patients will always be at the heart of all we do. This commemorative anniversary logo highlights a legacy, creating a visual identity that is used across all materials for a year.

United in Purpose, Every Step of The Way

In the months leading up to the grand celebration, SHP staff received themed socks in surprise blind boxes as anniversary keepsakes. Beyond footwear, these thoughtful tokens symbolise our commitment to move forward together and serve as a daily reminder that we're walking the same path, united in purpose, every step of the way.

An Evening of Joy and Jubilation

The celebration dinner brought together the SHP Family, alongside distinguished guests including Mr Ong Ye Kung, Minister for Health and Coordinating Minister for Social Policies and Prof Ng Wai Hoe, Group Chief Executive Officer, SingHealth. An array of fun activities set a joyful tone at the start of the evening, where staff had a blast at the Gashapon machines and claw machines, savoured refreshing acai bowls, made memories at photobooths, and basked in the celebratory ambience.

A Dynamic Opening

The atmosphere in the room was instantly transformed by the opening act, 'Echoes of Jubilation', a powerful drumming performance by our nurses that saw a surprise participation by our senior leaders, Chief Executive Officer, Dr David Ng, and Deputy Chief Executive Officers, Dr Derek Tse and Dr Lok Pui Ng. The majestic Chinese drums performance transcends mere music – each powerful strike resonates an echo of jubilation, marking the celebration of our collective 25-year journey.

A Song for Our Story - A Piece Dedicated to The SHP Family

One of the most iconic moments of the celebration was the live performance of our very own SHP 25^th Anniversary song by our staff from across our 10 polyclinics and HQ office. "Together, We Shine", an original song that is specially written by Dr Wong Wei Teen, Clinic Director of Outram Polyclinic, and composed by Dr Ong Ruiheng from Bedok Polyclinic, perfectly captured the  camaraderie and unity that define our SHP family. The song served as a powerful reminder of our core purpose - to deliver care with genuine compassion and to grow stronger in service to our patients.

The live rendition sparked a mass sing-along that filled the room with a strong sense of belonging and shared purpose, and saw fan clubs comprising staff, who cheered for the performers at the top of their voices.

The Grand Reveal of Vanda SHP

A notable highlight of the evening was the unveiling of Vanda SHP, our very own orchid named after SHP. An orchid hybrid of parentage of Vanda Renu Gold crossed with Vanda Yellow Butterfly, the name Vanda SHP has been officially registered with the Royal Horticultural Society of UK by the Orchid Society of South-East Asia. Like the first light of dawn, the warm orange and golden yellow blossoms of Vanda SHP embody the vitality and hope that illuminate every patient encounter.

A Record-Breaking Initiative: Project ReVive25 (Recycle Today, Revive the Future)

The celebration reached a new crescendo with the unveiling of the ReVive25 structure. Launched in May 2025,  Project ReVive25 comprises of a live-size number “25” structure made from recycled plastics, which roved across our polyclinics over the past few months to collect clean plastic medical wastes, which will be sent for recycling along with the structure itself after the event.

ReVive25 has officially entered the Singapore Book of Records as the largest structure filled with recyclable plastics. This achievement reflects our collective commitment towards sustainability, and the resolve to create change through everyday actions.

Giving Back: 25 Years, 25 Wishes Charity Draw

To make the celebration a truly meaningful one, staff made a difference by participating in a charity draw, which gave away 25 attractive prizes and a Special VIP prize.

More than just a charity draw, it celebrated our milestone by sharing joy and hope with the community we serve. Every contribution helped turn wishes into reality, where 100% of the proceeds go into supporting the Gift of Family Fund, which advances Family Medicine through research and education whilst helping patients access essential healthcare services.
