14 March 2021 - Dr Eugene Shum, Chief Community Development Officer, Department of Community Development, CGH, spoke about how the Neighbours Community Care Team, South East CDC and community partners designed virtual training sessions for the volunteers when physical visits for befriending were halted last year.

The training sessions comprised tele-befriending skills and self-care knowledge so that they could continue supporting the beneficiaries. In turn, the programme has forged long-term relationships between the beneficiaries and volunteers.

The volunteers were recognised for their efforts at a virtual volunteer appreciation event.
