A 37-year-old Dutch lady suffered a rare heart attack, seven days after giving birth to her third child in Singapore. To prolong and improve her quality of life, NHCS doctors implanted a left ventricular assist device known as HeartMate II in her. Six weeks later and medically fit, she will return to the Netherlands with her family where she will wait for a new heart.
