New Children’s Palliative Ward at Sengkang Community Hospital

The Lien Foundation will invest $4.7 million over four years to launch the Cocoon programme with KK Women's and Children's Hospital and SingHealth Community Hospitals, supporting young patients with chronic or complex diseases and their families.

SingHealth’s Sengkang Community Hospital will open the region’s first paediatric facility in a community hospital, with eight beds by 2026, serving over 240 children under 16 and training local medical staff in paediatric palliative care. The funding will also cover a Certificate Foundation Course in Paediatric Palliative Care and a Graduate Diploma course.
