Multidisciplinary Care For Vascular Anomalies In SingHealth

The Vascular Anomalies Clinics at SingHealth provide coordinated multidisciplinary assessment and management for children and adults with vascular malformations and vascular tumours. A single referral gives patient access to coordinated specialist expertise to support timely diagnosis and comprehensive management.

OUR CLINICS

Vascular anomalies require coordinated care from multiple specialties. A multidisciplinary clinic provides comprehensive evaluation through a team including:

• Dermatology/Paediatric Dermatology 
• Haematology/Paediatric Haematology 
• Interventional Radiology 
• Neuro-Interventional Radiology 
• Plastic Surgery 
• Orthopaedic Surgery (KKH only) 
• Paediatric Surgery (KKH only) 
• Vascular Surgery (SGH only)

Other specialty doctors, otolaryngologists, ophthalmo-logists, neurologists, cardiologists, gastroenterologists and geneticists may also be consulted on an as-needed basis depending on the patient’s clinical requirements.

Patients under 18 years of age are seen at KKH, and patients over 18 years are cared for at the SGH Vascular Anomalies Clinics respectively.

CLINIC SERVICES OFFERED

At the KKH and SGH Vascular Anomalies Clinics, our multidisciplinary team will:

• Evaluate each patient and perform point-of-care ultrasound, as required, to further guide diagnosis and treatment.
• Review and discuss laboratory results and advanced radiological images on the spot, allowing for a more holistic assessment of each patient.
• Arrange for biopsies for histological diagnosis and genetic testing, as required, to guide diagnosis and targeted therapy.
• Refer patients for further tests or for allied health services review, if required.

Beyond treatment, the clinics proactively screen for complications affecting function and provide psychological support for patients and families. This coordinated

approach ensures optimal outcomes through combined expertise in diagnosis, treatment planning and long-term monitoring.

WHO SHOULD BE REFERRED

Patients with suspected vascular malformations and/or (complex) vascular tumours can be referred to our Vascular Anomalies Clinics for evaluation.

Patients with suspected infantile haemangiomas may be referred to KKH General Dermatology Clinics.

HOW TO REFER

Patients may be referred via our respective hospitals’ Central Appointment numbers or email addresses.

Appointments may take about one week to be scheduled after referrals have been received, as we screen and triage all referrals to our clinics
