"There are days where you know you made a difference in someone's life.  I had a heart transplant patient who was in life threatening condition.  The effort that all of us put in brought him back from the brink of death.

I am privileged to work collaboratively with dedicated surgeons, anaesthetists, perfusionists and nurses as a team in saving lives during the most demanding procedures, and being able to improve patients' quality of life dramatically after they had undergone heart operations.

Though my job can be physically and emotionally demanding, seeing the patients recover, and eventually being able to reunite with their loved ones certainly makes it all the more worthwhile."
