Sorafenib is a medicine used in the treatment of Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma, Hepatocellular Carcinoma and Differentiated Thyroid Carcinoma.
It is a tablet taken by mouth, with a glass of water. It should be taken on an empty stomach i.e. at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Take the exact number of tablets and follow the dosing schedule as instructed by your doctor.
If you miss a dose of Sorafenib, take it as soon as you can if it is within 6 hours of the missed dose. If it is over 6 hours since your missed dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your usual dosing time. Do not double the dose.
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
Do not break or crush the tablets.
If you overdose on this medicine, inform your doctor immediately.
