A nasal drop is a product that is used to deliver medication into the nose. It is often used for medications that help with a blocked nose.
| Step 1 | Read the instructions on the label. |
| Step 2 | Blow your nose gently. |
| Step 3 | Wash your hands with soap and water. Dry them before you apply the nose drop. |
| Step 4 | Ensure the nasal drop bottle is closed tightly and turn the bottle upside down a few times to ensure that the medication is mixed well. Twist the cap to open the bottle. Check that the dropper tip is not chipped or cracked, if using a glass dropper. |
| Step 5 | Sit with your head tilted backwards, as far as it is comfortable. You can also choose to lie down, with a pillow under the shoulder, so that your head is tipped backwards. |
