Enzalutamide is a medicine that is used to treat metastatic prostate cancer (cancer that has spread beyond prostate gland). It works by blocking the effects of male sex hormones called androgens. Androgens may increase the growth of cancer cells.
Enzalutamide is a capsule, to be taken by mouth once a day at the same time every day. Swallow whole and take the exact number of capsules as instructed by your doctor.
It can be taken with or without food, with a glass of water or juice.
If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. However if it is near to your next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing time. Do not take double dose.
Inform your doctor if any of the following occurs:
Do not chew, open or crush the capsules.
