About Doctor

Clinical Assistant Professor Feng Jiajun is a Consultant Plastic Surgeon at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH), with subspecialty expertise in complex wound management, reconstructive surgery, and cosmetic plastic surgery. He graduated from Duke-NUS Medical School following a foundational degree in Molecular Biology, and has since received comprehensive training across the full breadth of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Asst Prof Feng is the co-lead of the Diabetic Limb Salvage Service at SKH, a multidisciplinary team dedicated to the preservation of at-risk limbs in patients with diabetic foot complications. The service brings together specialists across Orthopaedic Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Endocrinology, Dietetics, Podiatry, Allied Health, Nursing, and Care Coordination, working in close collaboration to deliver holistic, patient-centred care. Beyond acute limb salvage, the team also supports patients through a Complex Care Needs Clinic and works with wellbeing coordinators to facilitate patients' safe return to the community. The service has demonstrated impressive outcomes in limb preservation, and the team was recognised with the prestigious Singapore Health Quality Service Awards Best Team Award in 2023.

Asst Prof Feng has a strong interest in minimally invasive and innovative reconstructive techniques for diabetic foot wounds, including the use of rotation flaps combined with incisional negative pressure wound therapy, free flap reconstruction, and novel multidisciplinary one-stop care models. He has published widely on these topics in leading international journals. In addition to his wound care work, Asst Prof Feng has extensive experience in breast reconstruction, including post-mastectomy reconstruction, as well as surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures and body contouring. He has an active research interest in wound healing biology, particularly the role of connexin 43 in burn progression, and has received national-level recognition for his research contributions.

Beyond his clinical duties, Asst Prof Feng is committed to medical education and contributes to the training of future doctors and surgeons through his academic appointments at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Duke-NUS Medical School.
