Assoc Prof Lai Siang Hui

About Doctor

Prior to joining the Department of Pathology, SGH, Associate Professor Lai was Consultant Forensic Pathologist at the Health Sciences Authority, Singapore, where he was Head (Research) and later Head (Training & Education). He is currently Pathology Residency Director at SingHealth and holds teaching positions at various local universities.

Besides usual work commitments, Dr Lai finds time for other professional and social activities. He is currently Editor of Proceeding of Singapore Healthcare, President of the Medico-Legal Society of Singapore and Board Member and Faculty at the Centre of Medical Ethics and Professionalism of the Singapore Medical Association.

Dr Lai is married with two children and spends his limited spare time mostly with his family. Last, but not least, he is also lay minister at his church where he serves as leader and is privileged to share from the pulpit occasionally.
